Various thoughts. Not a lot of grain exported to the U.S. Lots of Canada made Urea and Potash go south, might get cheaper. Will definitely hurt beef prices. I should have sold my calves instead of feeding them. No doubt it will cost Canada.

Sure glad that all I kept back were replacement heifers! Our cattle market( in my opinion) is a sitting duck against American policy ,good or bad. We have enough supply to feed our entire country , but we import beef into Canada, not sure what amount but it happens. Whatever happened to value added ?

You have to be a special amount of dense to think that when they talk about border issues, that it would be about the ports of entry, and not the vast amounts of known unpatrolled problem areas.

And yes, the USA does have occasional checks at their ports when exiting their country.
