So what is the Australian price of canola today? You should be mid way through harvest, correct?

Would it be $100 US more than Canadian canola.

          From the beetle thread...

Hey downunder, really curious how the grain stores harvesting at +40C?

          Never possible to freeze it?

Almost no Australian grain gets stored on farm. It is rushed to port at harvest, which stands to reason as the canola price is $3/bu higher than the price around here. Was just checking canola bins as it looks like it will be staying put for a while longer. Price will hopefully improve after the Oz harvest is done.

So which price needs to correct?

That level of arbitrage does not seem sustainable

If stocks are overstated in Canada, our price will rise to get closer to theirs

                    OR

If stocks are accurate their price will drop to get closer ours.

I think being patient with sales will pay.

Above price was at a feed mill. Heres yesterdays export prices $778 port less $36 to get on farm price but with oil bonification.

Very similar to price quoted but with oil bonus. But if you grow GM canola roundup ready $100 per tonne less above prices non GM here in my state SA

And what are the yield differences between GMO and non GMO? If any.

Is the yield enough above to justify the $100 per ton discount? Or the chemical costs that much cheaper?
