    Wheat trump

Bit of discussion about incoming president and affect on ag by some "experts" and how Australia will fair.

    All seem to think neutral.

Economy wise they think it could actually cause deflationary effect. As we compete with many USA markets could create demand for Aussie wheat if other countries go away from US wheat price wise no change priced of US exchanges and local basis at work no change.

If china gets shitz on with USA could create new demand for many countries as they go looking especially for steel iron ore gas from new sources.

Intersting 4 years ahead nothing like rattling the world cage giving it a good shake up for better or for worse

Edit PS deflationary affect here in Australia there talking not world wide

I think the feel is mostly neutral here as well , but there will be knee jerk reactions at times
today a good example in Soybeans that dumped hard tanking canola down as well
Not sure what happened as soybean yields in the U.S. were downgraded a lot just a week ago

Canola may get dropped from U.S. subsidy for biofuel. They buy more canola from Canada than all others combined. Buckle up boys it’s just getting started.

Our barley benefited when yours was shut out of China. Lost a dollar when they started again.
            Similar will happen again.
Anyone remember the US Farm Bills of the eighties? All farms under a certain size vanished.
Know when to hold 'em when to fold 'em

Oh oh..... you just validated the Ghetto's(my farm's) redundancy.
I've been around long enough to witness the viable farm size " EVOLUTION". Even I feel doomed. Farm size seems incremental to combine capacity. Everything(machinery) is a million dollars +/-!
Lots of variables determine viability but "acres needed" plays a role.

Shouldn't Soybeans and Soybeanbean oil go up if Canola and Canola Oil are going to be tarriffed out of the US market?

I suspect this recent retreat of risk premium is a tell that the blanket taffif is no longer going to be a blanket.

My intuition tells me this tariff noise is a nothing burger.

But O'Leary said the same about Bitcoin......
