    Friday Cocktail in 2025

Good morning, 4 days till shit gets real in the USA, Canada and the world.

Scott Moe, I would have gone along with Smith.

Team Canada isn't Trudeau it's the provinces and all our problems need to be addressed before a real Team Canada approach. The West has been screwed for too long.

Crop production show was great I think lots of lookers and visiting was had. Nice to meetmore fellow Agrivillers who read but don't comment. That's ok the grumpy guys are just grumpy take with grain of salt. Lots of us love Ag.

Congratulations Vicky for the Sask pulse award.

Also grant devine and Kevin Hursh for the SAGA honour.

Great 40 Th SAGA reunion in Saskatoon last weekend.

Storm today in Sask but its January its normal and its usually cold.

Mark Carney pretents to be a outsider. **** I'm still laughing at that as I watch him show up in a RRoyce. Then kicks out reporters.

Lets send the NDP and Liberals to non party status.

Trudeau lets in more from Gaza and pays them to be here.

Can't make it up yet Canadians are at food banks and living in tents.

Grain markets had a run to $14.76 canola then tanked and tanked hard.

Rumour $200 rent lake Lenore? Really must have great calculator.

Lots and lots of snow off to the farm I go.

Brandon next week. That's a great farm show.

    Ah we need a drink.

It blew like a buggar here all night. Better go straight to the shed this morning and get the blower out. I hope everything is still standing in the yard.

I have it on expert authority that several here would pay $200 just to get the right pkg.
FCC published #s could be $200 for some here. You know, the #s landlords follow lol.
Glad to be off the roads last night.
Trudeau still thinks he's a hero and still hates the West.

One of the worst blizzards I have ever had the misfortune to be in. Left curling rink in neighbouring town last night. 35 km drive took three and a half hours. Luckily not many drifts on road. A few doozies (over the bumper and snow all over the hood) closer to home and thankfully not very cold out. Very glad to pull into our driveway. We didn't entertain the 155 165 175 deal to get 34 quarters in a single block. This way I can see how well they do across the fence as I surround them.

Lots of smart established farms that made it through the 90s are sitting back and watching the show the same as us I found out in Saskatoon.

Well see who is the smart ones in a few years.

Usually when all are running one way its awesome to be the few going the other way.

Fu k the storm is blowing snow this morning.

Good thing I cleaned the yard yesterday most just blew through.

One load went out one to go and contracts filled.

Grain has a Friday bounce early on today.

Can't find a single farmer here who is interested in land. Until you hear about the deal.

              Thanks for the notice
              , John K.
Congrats to Grant Devine and Kevin Hursh.

I remember when Grant Devine told the world we were a billion dollar industry and started calling us Agri Food instead of Agriculture. Steep learning curves at the time.

Kevin Hursh has always been there telling the stories. That voice has chaired and introduced more discussions and told more stores than any other.

We all must be getting old.. old is awards time.

              Way to go, all.

Saskfarmer, if I was Moe, I’d stick to Dani Smith like a wet blanket. She knows what would happen if she went along with Trudeau. Alberta would be pillaged more than it is now. She’s one smart cookie to stand up to the Eastern Oppressors.

Till you hear about the deal.

I have friends that are BTOs some massive and some real big plus managers at most of the farms i know.

What i am talking about is established third and 4th generation farms that are 10000 acres or more and under and they are all saying lets sit back and watch the show. If you can get a lifestyle and build why work for land developer for nothing?

Do they know something the others don't or will they be left behind.

I didn't fall for the up to $200 rent to get a awesome block for a reason its just land that i surround. Other land is available you look there.

                              Agreed.
Mostly small parcels here. 1-4 quarters. No one owns large blocks. Yet. Single quarters still flying off the shelf. $1.2 M this winter.
And it's the 3-4th gen doing all the buying and renting.
Here, they're only at the 3-5000 owned level.
One BTO moved in from outside, he's bigger, and providing the push.
