Blackberry Mint Julep

Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup fresh blackberries, plus extra for garnish
- 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves, plus a sprig for garnish

- 2 ounces bourbon
- Crushed ice
- Club soda (optional)

It used to be that new zealand and oz were in the running but their democracies are more functioning than ours are so they have pulled back a bit from the brink. Our voting system is gerrymandered by design with votes in welfareville worth far more than ones in more productive regions. So the lieberals are within the margin of fraud with very little support. Just a few busloads of ineligible voters in key ridings make all the difference. Alberta needs to get on with separation now otherwise we deserve our fate. Just wondering how equitable the electoral systems are in those countries. Maybe Landownunder could comment.

IMO...here's what's coming. Forget the bluster and listen to what trump says.

1) the Canadian auto sector gets moved to Michigan.
2) supply management is dead.
3) any other industry that makes stuff can come to the US for low taxes, if you stay in Canada you'll get tariffed.

Oil and gas will be exempt because we sell to them at a discount, they process it there and ship it back to us at world prices.

Quebec dairy and Ontario manufacturing are toast.

Canada has been mismanaged for so long that we have no ability to defend our economy even if we wanted to, despite what the government says. More spending to shore up industry=an even lower dollar and higher taxes.
