Cargill announces they will no longer buy or handle yellow peas in western Canada!!!

That was the rumor late friday and official text came today.
"Ingredient" (the pea plant wets of Saskatoon built with investment $$ from movie producer James Cameron) closed just a bit ago.
Have been hearing things arent going well for Richarsons big pea protien plant in MB???
Beyond meat and most of the other fake meat products are failing even with the HIGH beef prices!
Once the gov funding dries up for all these woke "green" NWO/WEF scams will we be back to pulse plants like the early 90's???

What is the big deal about Cargill stopping buying yellow peas that they have to make an announcement?

They have been small player in peas and have basically disappeared in the country over the last 2 decades.

India and China are huge yellow pea buyers that will continue to take peas from the Canadian Prairies.

          Why?

Cargill in our area bought a lot of peas and usually had the best bids.

P&H has a pulse fractionation plant under construction along with a second canola crusher at Yorkton?

The Yorkton plant is Louis Dreyfus, pea protein and an expansion of their canola crush plant...

I don't get all the hate for pea protien. Isn't another market for peas a good thing. You don't have to like it, but don't bash it either.
