Yeah im not Canadian shouldn't comment, but why demonise me for having private health since I was 26yrs old. Takes me off public list.

I don't think anyone demonized you for choosing some private over public health care.

Most people fear if we had 2 tier system all doctors and nurses would jump ship. Yet most provinces already hire contract nurses to keep system going and offer doctors fringe benefits to get them to work in certain areas.

Today we started up the Amazon. the most diverse eco system in the world. Truly amazing. Also so depressing to see the deforestation happening for mining , lumber and soybeans. When you see and understand how the climate here works and how land clearing changes the cycle you can then see how the world’s regional climates affect us all. The forest may not be here for my grandchildren to see when they’re my age if this continues. I will enjoy the next two weeks exploring the rivers and forests, if the heat and humidity doesn’t kill me. Lol

-45 at home +36 here in the Amazon,light rain 100 % humidity. You are soaked in sweat before the rain hits you. On the bright side Maybe lose a few pounds.

There is plenty of evidence of actual human caused climate change from the large scale deforestation in South America. Some speculation that if the current trend of reduced moisture continues, it could put agriculture in jeopardy in an even bigger area.

Interesting read from fcr. It's been said the rain forests in South America are the lungs of the world. I think it makes more sense to evaluate the destruction there, than worry about what Canadians can do to fix things with a carbon tax. Considering it is -35c today and for the most part Canadian's energy is somewhat cleaner than the rest of the world considering the frigid environment we live in.
