Had a salesman at my door. Just curious if anyone has used their seed dressings, soil bio stimulants or foliar products? Do they work? Do they pay? Or are they foo foo dust?

To be honest one draw back is crops grow very aggressively early and that can actually be a detriment when we run short of rain / soil moisture at critical seed filling stage . All great when the crop has enough moisture to fill but it also hits a wall faster when moisture runs out .
will be interesting to see if we can actually get the yield potential before running out of moisture at grain fill .

Most anything foliar is a waste of time and money if the problem is soil related. Learned the hard way

We are finding out now that we need to reduce N
We were never huge users of N but even at moderate levels we have become excessive in tissue samples and still having high N carryover .
N/K ratios too far apart now

N carryover is not a bad thing for most crops.
It gives you nitrogen through the whole root zone so you are less likely to stall with your nitrogen trapped in the dry zone if you run short of rain.
