Mr. Hin,

Last year I bought a 2000 TDI VW Golf... to transport myself, my family, and farm supplies when ever possible... instead of a pickup. I take the added risk (by diving a small car)of being hurt by wildlife, bad roads... by caring for our environment.

We direct seed one pass with one of the most fuel efficient tractors available.

What have you done lately for the environment?

Al Gore's uses more electricity in his house in a month than the average home does in a year.
It's obviously the poor who are supposed to do the conserving.

Does that make Al an "eco-hater", since his carbon footprint is roughly the size of godzilla's?

Good choice re: TDI, I have a '03 Jetta that I use in the same manner as you, Tom. Great little car, beats the hybrids as far fuel consumption is concerned.

Sounds like you guys don't understand the question," what is it about humans that makes them unnatural?"

Benny-How many elephants engineered and built cities atop prime farmland?

I would argue that this would be quite unnatural for elephants but perfectly natural for human beings. It is one of the many things that humans do.

To say that human being should live like animals or as close to an animal state as possible is to deny what human beings are and what it is that makes them human.

There is nothing stoping all you tree huggers from going out and living in the bush like a howler monkey if that is what you want.

Just don't think you're going to drag me out there with you. I like plumbing, I like electricity, central heating, air conditioning, cars, computers, hospitals, gadgets and people who act like people, the whole works.

You're not going to get me to feel quilty about it any more than the Catholic church did.
