Listening to Trump and reading Carney, I can tell you who is easier to understand and who is more dangerous long term.
No one can predict a market.
    But I can tell you.
The velocity of ups or downs that has increased steadily in the last 10 years isn't changing.
Sharpen your risk management and decision making skills.
    No time for laissez-faire.
Those days are gone for good.

Maybe he can continue to bluff and get what he wants?

He campaigned on getting companies to reinvest in the USA.
That may already be happening just on the threats?https://financialpost.com/commoditie...ne-revival-lng

He says he wants TC pipeline to finish the KeystoneXL but they say most of their investments will be in the US.

They have no real interest in converting their gas pipeline for Energy east.

For big investors the US suddenly looks like a much safer investment than Canada?
No tariffs in place and Canadian investment will be even worse than the poor situation we were already in.

You might be right on that.

          Hahahah

Whats getting exposed is how socialists tried to always get the usa to ay for shit.

Canada has way more problems across Canada than trumps tariffs.

          Quebec is a huge problem.

You should always have a plan B. I could care less which country or dictator we deal with as long as they are willing and able to pay for what I produce. If the states doesn’t want to purchase without imposing a penalty on the buyer then screw.

Sow confusion. Create an alarm. Then negotiate.

Hes done it with tarriffs on canada. He did it with ukraine. First chirps zelensky. Then says he does a good job. Then chirps him.
Its an interesting technique.... but. I have to say...
                Hes making crap happen.

Ukraine war wasnt sustainable for anyone. No appetite to keep sending money and ammo. 0 in the usa. 0 in canada. Not a single nato country has commited to their defense spending. Russia isnt at usa's doorstep so it really isnt their war.
But they sure are at the EUs border.
as crappy as this is for the ukrainian people.. it has to end and putin will get a win... while the US gets a win. And maybe... just mayyybbeee... europe will start building up their armed forces so they can stand up to russia.

Im damn 50% pureblood uki and 50% pure finnish.. we have family still in both countries. We all, as canadians, say.. " ohhh fight for the ukraine.. poor ukraine.. fight fight fight" but would i send my kids to go fight for the ukraine? Would i myself, go fight for them? Would you?
not likely. Not bloody likely at all.

Trump sucks but he sure gets the pots stirring. A war of attrition couldnt continue.
I heard Trump give a long speech while listening to Sirius radio on the weekend. Must have been at least an hour long. My take away from it was when he said that he wanted his legacy to be that of a peacemaker and not a warmonger.

Meanwhile, Canada continues to contribute towards the continuance of the war.

Yep .Kind of wonder if the on and off tarriff talk is to manipulate stock market for personal profit.Very little drugs come from Canada and of that it is usually American citizens doing the smuggling. Damage to tourism and American products is done and no reversing that .People will start asking when their grocery bill is going to come down as he promised.

He may not want to be a military warmonger but definitely is an economic warmonger.
They like to push their weight around but when was the last time they fought a war on their own continental soil? Not including their civil war.
