Zelensky wasn't being pompous. More like he wasn't willing to kneel and kiss the ring. He wasn't willing to get pushed around, even though treading alittle lighter might have been more productive on his part.

I would have no doubt he was tempted to tell them to go f u c k themselves if he didn't have so many lives at stake.

Many other leaders would have pissed their pants in that situation.

And as for Vance accusing the Ukraine, during the oval office meeting, of not stating it's gratitude for America's help and support in the war effort is just somewhat less offensive than Trump's behavior. Birds of a feather....

I would see Zelensky's comments more as defensive not as an attack.
