I don't have much to add to the political discourse here on the tariffs. nothing I say will change anybody's minds anyway.
The lesson in my view(checkout my name) is mostly if we want the government to be strong enough to protect us then we have to accept the fact that the government will also be strong enough to destroy us. I had thought it would be the liberals killing off Ag, but they are getting a lot of help from trump. not real sure this was his intention.
This is the start of the black swan event that many have been saying is coming, or fearing coming. It may not be that bad or it may evolve into total annihilation of Canada. We no longer have any international friends that will stand up for us in the event that we need it. Jusnit has made sure of that.
It may be too late for some, but for those that accepted that the good times will not last forever and made financial decisions to insulate their farm from any and all threats real or perceived, now is their time to asses risk/reward, not panic and eventually pick up the remains of whatever will be left.
This will be a story that will be told many times over to the young generation coming up if they can put down the cell phones long enough to hear it.
