This is way above my pay grade but was that war lost?
Wasnt Ukraine given technology and hardware to fend off the Russian attack? How much hardware was used to actually counter attack Russia? Ukraine's effort seemed more defensive that offensive. It's easier to push your(USA) weight around against smaller countries, but how hard do you want to push a "super power"(?)? Even if the push(defense and offense-{esp.}) is through another country?
I find it hard to believe the US would become overly dependant on non-allie countries for what(ever) they need to protect and defend themselves.
