Got a call from KPMG this am, they were confirming whether my wife and are one farming entity or two seperate entities.
I had a ballot mailed to me, yet my wife never, so she called and requested one. One was sent and all the proper procedures were followed. She voted and and sent it in on Tues. (last day to vote).
We were honest and clear and confirmed that the farm is considered one entity.
So this disallowed her vote.
I don't disagree with this policy,
But I would be curious if this standard is being rigorously and uniformily applied.
Although a one tonne = one vote plebicite in the spirit of a corporate vote would have been the truest indicator of grower sentiment and the most meaningful for the grains sector.
