What I find interesting with Welkers is they farm the same acres as some farms with 1/8 the the equipment costs .

And they farm as well as anyone
      it’s just perspective

Behind the garlic curtain (west of Canora) it will be weeks yet. We went to a Conservative event in Yorkton yesterday and there's still snow cover pretty well everywhere. Freezing every night so not much progress happens.

I’m still getting production up for early May. Compost is cooking away. A couple green lighting units running. The two together with minimal amount of minerals should work some magic. Very interesting how the water going into green lighting has ph 7,ec .05,tds 30 and after it comes out ph in low 3. Ec .5. Tds 130. Big difference compared to 28-00 Ec are off the chart and tds 10000.

How do they have 1/8th equipment cost?

I would like to show you what a few of the locals in my area bought for equipment in the last few years to put in and go over a 10 bushel acre durum/pea/lentil crop that we were blessed with. The Welkers farm for very low cost compared to some of these guys.

Most of our fields are still showing no bare ground yet. Going to be mid may start for most here I’m afraid. Oh well.
