Wowchuk Disses Federal Vote On Barley

Manitoba's Agriculture Minister says the question was flawed, and voter turnout low.

That's Rosann Wowchuk's response to the Federal government's plebiscite on barley marketing. Just over 60 per cent of producers who cast eligible ballots say they want the board out of the barley market, or for the board to be maintained in a competitive market.
But Wowchuk tells CJOB, that's not a proper gauge:
