    Crop Conditions

Continued from Cotton's June 16 survey.
    Wheat still a 10.
    Peas 9
    Canola 7
Canola seems more hard hit by the wet conditions, possibly timing of planting.
Low spots purple, I take it its dieing.
Forecast was for 1 inch but only got 3 tenths so far. But got 1 tenth in the last 3 minutes, now quiet.
Also have something eating my canola and the local grain company rep stopped in today and showed him the bare patches. All come up perfect but now have bare patches. Conditions were cool today so did not see anything eating today, plants actually eaten down to the ground. Other fields not affected.

    Crop conditions

Wheat 9 but disease is starting and will need fungicide
Canola 7 frost and now excess rain is taking a toll. losing some of lower areas and weeds starting to be a problem second flush.
    Barley 9
Peas 9.5 yellowing in lower areas need heat.
Durum 9 so far nicest crop.
oats 9 but needing fungicide shortly.
spraying is close to being done one or two days left.
basically 4 inches plus in last five days. Oh yea hail on 11 quarters last Thursday took from cabbage to stock now that's a problem.

Quite a bit unseeded south east of lacombe (lots of volunteer canola starting to bloom). Everything that did get seeded is LATE, lots of ruts and standing water. Spraying is now the fight.

Crop conditions are good . Have received timely rains. Not too wet. Canola ready for disease control spraying this week. Wheat heading, may spray with Tilt. Did receive hail, about 25% damage to wheat and canola, but they may recover.

Excellent crop conditions, yellow mustard is on its fourth week of flowering.

Durum is in shot blade.(sprayed 1/2 rate pivot on with herbicide for leaf diseases.

Peas are knee high, flowering and thick as heck and desi chickpeas have been sprayed once with fungicide and looking good. might have to spray again though since there are some new strains of aschochyta around.
