    The gandalf group

I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but I was reading a little blurp on the latest cwb "survey of farmers" (search for evidence for the justification for their existance), and I read that the survey was conducted by the GANDALF GROUP.

Ok, so who is the gandalf group? Well a five second Google search identifies the gandalf team consists of none other than Liberal insider David Herle, and another former Liberal Insider Alexander Swann.

Some may say "So what" but that isn't what I find most telling. It was when I read "Our Philosophy" that I had to shake my head.

    here's a bit,

The gandalf group strategic approach to brand development, policy advocacy, reputation management and issue mannagement is based upon consumer reseach first. We believe that strategy should be built upon a clear understanding of the reality, fueled by imagination to address the underlying issues.

The gandalf group has extensive experience in the provision of public opinion research and the development of strategic communications solutions....

What immidiatly came to mind was that the cwb (directors and management) still think this is just a matter of better communication, not an issue of poor preformance. I just love the part that says ...clear understanding of reality , fueled by imagination....

Man, Herle clearly has his work cut out for him here,

the cwb has zero understanding of reality and they have a total lack of imagination when it comes to marketing, but I suppose the immagination of the communications department can stager the mind sometimes.

Oh well as long as the cheque clears eh David! and a little extra for the Big Red Machine right!

Wouldn't it be an interesting ATI assignment? How many studies did the CWB throw Galdalph's way, and what was the fee?

      Adam Smith,

David Herle is a smart and hard working guy. If the CWB had taken much of his logical and well intentioned advice... we would all be so much better off.

CWB managers/legal really got off track with measner minding the bridge... with single minded directors are really hurting the CWB.

They are going to pull this puppy down and drown it... rather than have it proven the "monopoly" costs us huge because of the massive lack of accountability left without the self discipline competition provides.
