Cotton, my point was, and I believe it is undeniable, that the casim between the two opposing mindsets is impossible to be breached, there is zero common ground here.

And as parsley said, I have come to the conclusion that my life and Agstars (for example) life would be much better if we we're not forced by the ludicris cwb act to be business partners.

By the way, if my theory is wrong, give me your explanation as to why simple inquiries into the inconsistencies of cwb claims are always met with childish haranques which never address the questions they just amount to the equivilent of "Oh Yeah, well your mother wears army boots"?

Whether it be about: PPO Basis levels, discounted sales to Brazil, premiums that can't be proven, canola basis vs cwb basis, paid for studies, liberal affiliations, seeded acres, barley sales done without the farmers offering the barley, discounted malting barley sales which they can't honour, ND wheat prices being a buck a bushel higher day in and day out, stress bonuses, the contingeny fund, 62% of farmers wanting choice for barley, lawsuits, court challenges, poor prices, artificially low prices for winter wheat and cps, open market feed barley being worth more than cwb malting barley, feed wheat being worth as much as high quality milling wheat, export permits for some but not others, wanting a plebicite and getting it but ignoring the results, you name it.

Never do they address the questions, our side address the questions with reason and proof, they just pull the trigger on the flamethrower, as fransisco so aptly said.

Adam, seeing how you think you know so much, please explain to me the answers to these questions.

Do more sellers command a higher market price or lower?

Do the members of opec belong to the organization to get a higher price of oil or lower?

The right answers to these question may prove that there is some flaw to your logic.

I think we should all stop and read our own words. Would you say this to someones face? No, I didnt think so.
We are all getting so worked up about the CWB stuff we are becoming jerks.
I am kind of glad the horrible spring stopped me from seeding and board grain as the CWB debate doesnt mean anything to me for this year.
I guess God helped me vote with my drill. (that was supposed to be a joke)

Cotton, I will awnswer this way, You seem very quick to point out the days in which the market is rallying, you believe very strongly that grain prices are heading higher, right?

Do these higher prices coincide with fewer sellers, or does it have to do with the number of tonnes available and the demand for those tonnes?

The number of sellers has zip to do with the price.

If OPEC were to disappear tommorow, the price of crude would not change one iota. The only thing that will cause a change is the availability of supply or the demand for that supply.

OPEC's power comes from the ability to control it's share of world wide oil production. Production which requires massive invesment and development.

The CWB has zero in common with opec.
The cwb has zero control in production so it's influence within the market is simply a matter of the timing of sales and at what price it will sell the known quantity of grain.

As far as this notion that the one seller selling is going to get you a higher price than thousands of individuals selling into the same market, just doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Because in order to believe that concept you have to believe that every one of those sellers will all try to sell everything on the same day. And that those thousands are nothing but sheep, broke sheep at that and they will all sell as soon as the grain becomes available. That doesn't happen with canola, or oats, or peas, or flax and it won't happen with wheat or barley.

And by the way, I notice you chose to deflect my question for you about a better explanation for the cwb supporters ignoring and deflecting questions with personal attacks.

I addressed your question why don't you address mine? Instead of the "oh, you think your so smart" crap.

Yeah, everyone is entitled to their opinions but no one should be entitled to force them on others, but the cwbers believe they should be entitled to force their beliefs on everyone.

That is the point my freind, so if you want to defend that, go for it.

You just proved to me and everyone else that you know nothing about how the markets really work.

Do you not have the capacity to believe each side has legitimate arguements?

I did address your question about personal attacks-EVERYONE IS DOING IT(minus charlie and lee)
How many times have i read the words borg, communist, socialist, leftist,in the context that all of these things are pure evil.

Do others think that this is happening on Agri-ville? re: CWB
do we have posters who are trying to scare off people by just being complete tools themselves.
I believe that this forum is a very valuable tool to help make Canadian Ag policy better for all and hope that the trolls get back under their bridge or at least get better arguments than be AFRAID!

                            Baiting from wikipedia
On Internet forums, baiting is sometimes used in attempts to empty forums or reduce a forum's usage. This type of baiting is usually done to make the atmosphere of a forum appear unpleasant or to make forum owners, moderators and long-time users look foolish. A person using this kind of baiting may post comments to elicit rude responses from prominent members of a forum, thus making the responding member or members appear as trolls or flamers to bystanders. As a result, forum users in general may become disgusted and leave the forum

                              just-wondering,

I have had these same thoughts about "baiting" and the discription well fits the feelings I felt!

We are quite a crew of independant thinking bold souls... who are afraid of few things!

Words that are hollow and crack pot ideas just make me more determined to expose the true intent of authors who us such tactics!

Some days it is quite entertaining... but the use of foul language does really decrease the quality of our discussions!

Joe, we appreciate your patience with us and hope you can laugh at our tactics when they are immature and less than entertaining!

Hopefully we can all learn from our "mistakes"... and till the edit button works... we can't take our words back! But that should make us better people... because it is like real life... words spoken in haste can't be taken back!
