I told you on another thread that durum gets crazy high every few years.
You aren't allowed to access those prices minus basis because the cwb sold for less than that and they would look like fools. That is why we have a buy back? and a requirement for a cwb export permit, in my books a paper wall that works just as good as the iron curtain across europe for 70 years or so.

That's works back to east sask. at elevator price of $7.88 compared to what 4.88 Canadian through the CWB.
Boy do they get us a premium.
Keep checking the truth is out their FARMERS of Western Canada have lost Millions with this useless organization.
IT would be OK if we had subsidies to cover this loss but no this is Canada Create employment at the backs of farmers.

          CP,

Kind of proves our point on OPEC (CWB)... and why it is needed...TO KEEP THE PRICE OF OIL (or DURUM) DOWN.

Supply and Demand can be a tricky thing to understand!

          GRIN!

Bring on the vote for wheat and durum and lets get rid of these schackles once and for all. I wont make the mistake of selecting option #2 again as this just seems to confuse the anti choice fear mongering crowd. Option #3 seems to be all they can understand. The whining and sniveling by the board has most people fed up and we are all tired of them spending money to defend a tired old institution that their own survey shows is undesired by the majority of producers. Lets move forward as an industry and move into the 21st century of marketing and procuction where a single farmer can do what is best for his or her farm. Those who choose to bury their head in the sand and live it the past with the chronic wasting board, I wish you all the best of luck.

Doesnt prove any of your points Tom.

But it does prove my point about higher grain prices.
