    The heat returns.

Just did a round trip from N.B. - Lloyd - Verm - Edmonton and back through Wainwright - CutKnife - N.B.
Forcast is for 4 more days of 32 - 36 and I seen alot of crop in trouble already. Some pockets still look very good but alot of canola on this trip has had irreversible damage already.

Everything here in Western MB is burning up like crazy. Barley and Canola are showing extreme pressure from the heat and lack of rainfall. What was going to be a bumper crop is most likely going to be average or below now.

East central alberta burning as well. Canola that looks reasonable from road has about 25% normal pods. The rest have either aborted or will never fill. Wheat is shortening heads, many white areas. Went from wondering where to pile all the grain to expecting empty bins in a matter of two weeks. Best part of five weeks now with no more than one tenth at a time in up to 34 degrees. Within miles they had up to an inch of rain 1 week ago. You can see the line. And my frustration.
