Lets see what the situation is...apparently Strahl tries an end-run around the law and gets caught. His government plans change before a flawed plebiscit/vote even confirms that a change is desirable.

What is a judge supposed to do? The judge can't okay what Strahl and company did... so voila...the decision HAD to be against the government.

Run the changes THROUGH parliament and get them passed. What is the problem? If the changes make sense then they will pass in parliament.

This whole mess could have been avoided if Harper's government had acted LEGALLY. What a bunch of power hungry maroons.

Wilagro, check the markets this morning(if you know how to find them on your computer) look at what this ruling has done to your pocket book. 9:14 am barley currently locked limit down!!!!!

Just heard Ken Ritter on the news stating that the new PRO's will have suffered from missing sales!!

Not even 24 hrs after the ruling, and the bastards are already making excuses why they won't pay us!!

Boys time to matters into our own hands!! Lets line up the Border with trucks!!!!

There is no question that farmers want change. What kind of change is a little more difficult question. This court case had nothing to do with whether farmers wanted change or not.

It was decided that the government misinterpreted the law.

"So Run the changes THROUGH parliament and get them passed. What is the problem? If the changes make sense then they will pass in parliament."

The problem is that it does not have to make sense to pass parliament. It seems to have to serve the needs of the individual parties.

You are correct to say the changes need to run through parliament. Should they have that debate on whether farmers should have more freedom within our free country before or after the debate on fighting for freedom for people in Afghanistan.

snappy: Weeeelllll, while your at it...keep on going. The Americans will welcome you with open arms. Then you can be RICH with their support payments and all.

Or better yet, stay here and elect some politicians with some bloody brains that know how to do things right, instead of bluffing and scamming us all.

This whole mess could have been avoided.

This doesn't only land on government politicians. Your wheat board politicians have had years to deal with it.

They haven't been listening to farmers. Listening is an important part of marketing. At least Strahl was listening.

Wilagro scoreboard check. Yesterday feed barley prices at my local elevator $3.45/bus, this morning on the news of courts decision barley prices bidding $2.90/bus.

Yeah I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that Chuck and the boys should've went about it differently, but it's going to happen indefintley.

So if the CWB has are best intrest at heart, why would they want things changed if they know it was going to crash prices???

After all aren't they just there to try to get the farmer best bang for his buck??

                It's a f****ng hose job that's what it is!!!!!

And like usual a die hard supporter would just as soon sit on his ass again like yourself, and take a $2.50/bus board feed price and do nothing, then have to market is own grain and do the work for $3.50/bus!!!!

harper knew he couldn't get this through parliament with a minority so he tried to run it through this way. if they are so committed they should challenge on the basis of designated area not being in line with charter of rights. business interests are against this so the courts will end up being the route to go anyway. strahl is an underachiever and should be out anyway. now that this has fallen through i don't think he's accomplished anything.

Yes he should resign! This has gone on long enough. Some boys have bought into this wonderful fake world that the Corps have painted for them and now they spew out the same garbage.. Maybe they should all load on trucks and keep going south to stay! Take Strahl with them.

Whether it is Strahl or either one of the ministers of agriculture for sask or manitoba or the heirarcy at the wheat board they are all acting like a bunch of spoiled little brats. If any of your kids acted like these supposedly learned individuals that have been entrusted with responsibility for the grian marketing system, you would kick their little butts super hard to catch their attention but what do you do with this bunch? I am fed up with the whole works of them, not one of them suffers but the rest of us that have to market grain to make a living pay the bills in the end. Someone tell me a logical way out of this collosal screw up!!!!!
