    $12 corn?

Don't shoot the messanger!! This is from a U.S. ag talk site " When Isreal bombs Iran within the next few months, Iran will shut down the strait of Hormuz" Causing oil to sky rocket and corn to follow?
This pie in the sky stuff but it could happen right in the "battle for corn/soyabean acres" time frame.

What capacity would Iran have to shut down anything? If Israel bombs Iran, believe me, they will finish the job.

I have no clue, just repeating something that caught my attention. Think about what may happen, not what some state agencey tells you what happened. There is a possibility something may happen in the near future, and the affects could be dramatic in oil and ag. Then Again nothing may happen and life will go on. Confirmed today that Iran is progressing well on Nuclear "Energy".

If that happens , the least of our worries will be the price of corn.

I assume your reference would be to the fact that $12/bu corn would be a strong indicator of hyper inflation (likely backed up by $150 to $200/barrel crude oil). US dollar would also likely have lost its bloom/crashed relative to everything else.

More likely global war if Israel attacks Iran with nuclear weapons. You could ask T4 about prophecies. Something about the armageddon and the middle east. The price of commodities might be the least of our worries.

Possible who know? Heard rumor ethanol may need to raise 12 to 14 percent of ethanol to blend with gasoline.
