    Unpriced canola?

How much unpriced canola sittin out there? My guess is 60%.
If guys were going to lock the bins at "below 9", it may be time to weld them shut for a while - March or mid August?

Its no suprise that there is no answer to legitimate questions such as posted above. Farmers as a whole just can't muster the dicipline to attempt to control their destinies. (for a variety of reasons).
I'll be encouraged when those farmers left come to a united front that clearly differentiates between what crop supplies are produced in a year; AND the important figure of what portion of that production they will absolutely choose not to market at prices below a certain profit margin above cost of production.
    My bins are welded shut!!!

2/3 of my canola in bins not priced. I sold a 1/3 off combine prepriced for about $10.50.Hope to get $9 for the remaining canola in bins.

        Furrowtickler,

For the folks who are all priced out... it would not be smart to disclose this fact... and who would be proud of admitting the biggest marketing blunder of their lives... other than how they voted in the recent CWB election!

Will we get a 50-60% retracement? Very likely. But from where... the lower it goes... 50% up gets much less each day!

Without a war... to shut down middle east oil movement... historic lows are possible. Take 25% (CDN $) off $350... and we see where we are vs. last year.

Never say never... If I were a ship owner right now... the Baltic Dry Index would tell us that anything is possible. Canola@ $200/tUSD if oil at $35/bbl for any sustained period?
