Vote splitting?? I think if the Anti Monopoly forces ever want to get anywhere they must run 1 candidate in each area. After the first ballot its the luck of the draw.. I didnt think he had a hope in H E double hockey sticks to win.. I guess he won the same way Stephane Dion won the Liberal leadership race!

Vote splitting? Just the opposite.
Take a look at the result details. Flaman won on the fourth round as Beingessner (another pro-CWB) was dropped and the majority of his voters (719 out of 999) had Flaman as their #2 choice.
Flaman won because he had another pro-mandatory CWB candidate running. (Lonny McKague was another but didn't really do anything.)
Schnell didn't have the same "support". When Phil Lewis (pro-voluntary CWB) was dropped, only 110 of his 178 supporters had Schnell as their #2 choice.
Schnell almost won completely on his own. After the second ballot he was in the lead. Flaman overtook him only because there were other candidates of the same colour on the ballot.
You can't split votes in this type of election unless the voters don't rank the candidates of similar "attraction" as their 1st, 2nd and then 3rd choice.

MAYBE Mr. FLAMAN won cause he is the best guy, for the job. MAYBE, what he is doing is right. MAYBE some of the others in his area, think so too. MAYBE the vast majority of detractors, are in fact just a few loud mouths, pretending to speak for the silent majority of farmers. MAYBE the CWB is in fact, doing a good job! Why do you think that US farmers, hate that organization soooo much?

Burbert;
You said: "MAYBE Mr. FLAMAN won cause he is the best guy, for the job. MAYBE, what he is doing is right."
Just look at the Contingency fund... and how much money has been lost.
Where are our final payments Mr. Flaman was boasting about?
Burbert... the mis-management at the CWB is due in large part... to the likes of Mr. Flaman... he will have to wear it... it is surely too bad he doesn't have to pay for the losses he has caused!
Instead you want to reward him for one of the worst jobs of risk management in Canadian history?
