Most population distributions are like a pyramid.Because of the exodus out from under the CWB---Compulsory Wet Blanket,naturally our industry is dominated by an inverted pyramid.
That's fine---more opportunity for young minds---but for crying out loud DON'T GIVE CONTROL OF THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY TO THE OLD REARWARD LOOKING CROWD.
I guess it serves the interests of the status quo to stifle the youth and keep driving them away.

Here is a quote by Ayn Rand that I believe is relevant today, "Individual rights are not subject to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities from oppression by majorities (and the smallest minority on earth is the individual)."
Even if the majority of the farmers want to be held by the hand by "older brother or uncle or father government knows best (whatever the saying is)" there should still be the freedom to choose. If the elite did not have the right to impose its will on others, neither did any other group, even a majority. Every person should be their own ruler, provided that they don't interfere with the similar right of others. That is why it is better that most things are done in the free market rather than a majority directive by the government because it is the majority that rules and those in the minority, have to deal with what the majority wants. In the free market, the majority and minority can do as they wish because there will be services and products with thier particular niche in mind. The antiquated CWB laws only have the majority in mind, or the majority of the eastern elected people still want to retain the CWB.
