    Heritage Seeds

    1. Has anyone got a bag of heritage seeds tucked away in their cupboard? Some special kind of bean grandmamma brought form the "old country" and grew every year so she could make a certain recipe?

    2. Does anyone have white lentils? Not pale yellow, but white?

    Parsley

I have a neighbor with a couple hundred bushels of what we called 60 day barley, and was grown here in the 40s. I believe the proper name is warrior, and it was a hooded variety, with no whiskers. A old timer told me if you could get it to lodge it would run 40. The beauty of it besides being early was the straw was like candy to a horse, they always had there nose in a stook. This palatable straw is something we have lost.
