George Morris Centre Study - Feed Grains and Livetock: A Reconciliation

Just thought I would highlight the above study. Basically a study of the interconnectedness of the two agricultural sectors.

Looking for comments on it. As indicated in the past, feed grains strategy is one of the projects on my plate at work.

Not directly related to the study but will note a move in industry to look at alternative cash trading systems - particular for mid quality wheat and feed peas. Western barley futures is being used now but both the hog and ethanol industries are looking at improved price discovery (particularly in forward months) and risk management.

Thoughts on direction and need for research/investment in developing pricing/risk management tools?
