    Dear Jim;

Dear Jim, you and Olive gave so so much.

Olive backed you... was your rock; was our anchor... helped us when you were down... when we needed encouragement Olive was the chipper voice on the phone... the smile at the meeting we could count on.

Bless you in your hard hard time JIM.

Peace be with you... Jim...and happy memories of Olive... of life...

    God bless you Jim.

May the Lord God hold Olive in the palm of his hand... in peace...may our memories of her...touch all our hearts... to make Canada a better COuntry! To make us strong and better people.

    Peace be with you JIM.

    Olive Chatenay died last night.

It is with profound sadness, that
we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Olive Chatenay
(Anderson) after a valiant battle with cancer. On February 18, 2009, she peacefully entered her
savior's arms with her much-loved husband and children at her side. Olive was born October 5,
1946 in Innisfail, Alberta and was raised in the Big Bend community. She met her true love and
future husband James Chatenay at a 4H dance in Ridgewood fifty years ago this week. She married Jim who remained a devoted and loving companion, husband and father. Olive lovingly raised four
children, Mark (Linda Swift), Michael (Sharon Prozny), Tammy (Rob McFadden) and Chantal (Don
Goyan) at their homestead in Ridgewood, Alberta. She was predeceased by her father Oliver
Anderson and her second father Ernest P. Smith and is survived by her mother Katherine Smith
(Munro), sisters Joyce (Bob Hurl) and Janet (Irvine Steinke), and brother Dennis (Carol Ritten).
She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, Ryan, Jesse, Keaton, Hailey, Devin, Krysten,
Jayden, Allison, Hannah, Paige and Cole whom she loved with all of her heart and soul. Her kind
loving way touched all that were privileged to know her. She will be deeply missed. Her family
wish to extend our sincere gratitude to the extraordinarily caring physicians, nurses and staff
of the Cross Cancer Institute. Your caring compassion was a comfort and will be forever
cherished by all. Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 23, 2009 at 2 o'clock at the
Innisfail Alliance Church, No. 25, 4804 - 42 Avenue, Easgate Mall, Innisfail, AB, with a
reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer
Foundation, 10665 Jasper Avenue, Suite 700 Edmonton, Alberta T5J 3S9.

My thoughts and prayers go to Jim and his family at this time.
        Jeff Nielsen

          Dear Jim.
As someone who's been there, I know exactly how it feels.

May God be with you in your time or sorrow.
