    One Earth Farms

What does this community think of the chances that $27.5 million in Bay St. money can generate a return for investors by farming Indian reservation land? Google One Earth Farms.

I am predicting that it will fail to get off the ground. The whole concept is BULL****. If by any chance it gets started the natives will double-cross them for sure.

I am on the other page, I feel they are working with the natives because they see a money winner for them for managing the company with promises of labour for the band. They will try to make huge money off the Reserve and not pay much for dividends. In case of crop failure the Bands will loose millions yet these guys will just keep their management fees etc and continue on their way.
This is a reminder of what happened a time before.

I have two brothers-in-law who dealt with Indian Reserve land deals. The agreement was breeched after two years and they took a bath. Their lawyer said that there was no way that they could win against the natives as the natives were "wards" of the government.

Larry Ruud may be a very intelligent man and from all reports, this is true. However, he may find this project very daunting indeed.

Were in year 15 with 2 native bands never any problems. Its a good deal for both parties. Its just funny how all these so called people who looked down at farming are now crawling out of the wood works to try farming Cant work their magic with farmers so looking to natives. Like I said before the real winner will be these guys and the losers will be the bands.

Eric sprott was pro commodities 48 months before 150 dollar oil cracked all the ignorants upside the head.

His little finger knows more than all of us put together.

Does he own a rain making machine, hail deflector or a massive heat gun to keep frost away, or all of the above? The point is, as most of us real farmers know, mother nature calls the shots not some smart ass with a lot of money. Good luck to all these clowns that think farming will be an easy cash cow.

Furrow I agree with you Mother Nature calls the shots not the board room. These guys will pour millions into this make some money then have a few wrecks and the Richie brother flyer will show up with their sale.

I think this ties in somehow...

Isn't there one guy who farms a bunch of this.

p.s. I'd be surprised if this thing gets off the ground and if it does it'll be a real sh!t show.

By the time all the consultantfarmers (most of these guys already tried farming at one point) at MNP take their wages out there won't be anything left for indians or shareholders.

I hope the Natives go it on their own their are Natives with Ag degrees.
But here is simple question, who would let their accountant run their farm or business. The answer if your honest is none. Yes they know the numbers but their is no heart in it.
