LWeber: You didn't answer MY question. Why do you want to know how many acres a poster farms. Do only BIG acreages matter to you? If I had 12 sections of land, would that make my OPINION better or more valid than YOURS?
YOU are an ELITIST and dare I say, a bit of a BULLY IMO.

You have posted here in the past that you grow 160 acres of barley which you will not dispute; this allows you to impart your views and hold a young farmer back that grows 1600 acres of barley because you feel you know what is best for him?
And you think I'm an elitist and a bully?
Answer the question Willy:
How many acres do you farm?
This is not the first time i've asked it of you and you choose not to answer - Why is that?

No Wilagro, but it would put your statements into context. This may be the reason you support the CWB. Larger acre producers normally support an open market. So the question should be are your need more important than mine? Are they equal? Should you get to decide to limit my access to other markets for my wheat and barley? I don't care if you only farm 160 acres or 16 000 acres, you do not have the right to suppress my marketing alternatives.

gregpet: Holy Moley, I didn't realize that I had that much power that I could SURPRESS your marketing. I'd better go tell all of my neighbours...whoopee, I've got power.
You guys are just looking for a whipping boy because your esteemed CONservative party hasn't fulfilled their mandate that you provided them with. If you can't market your grain, that is your problem...go suck up to Mr. Ritz if you want change...I don't have THAT much power.
As far as Weber and yourself wanting to know how many acres I farm...the answer is...NONE OF YOUR BLOODY BUSINESS.

Actually you do have the power. Your 400 acre vote in favor of the monopoly has as much value as someone else who votes against the monopoly that has 4000 acres. So you are suppressing my ability to market my grain. I can try to type slower if you cannot understand this but I don't think it will help.

1 acre 1 vote when it comes to making decisions that impact farmers. Thats my dream. Not likely to happen in my lifetime though. I reluctantly give my 2 cents to this debate. I think there is a difference between Career farmers and Hobby Farmers but thats just my opinion.
Back to the topic of this thread posted by SaskFarmer3. I think anyone who thinks they can predict the outcome of this years seeded acres must be very gifted. There is a lot of indecison out there. I think largely because cereals which by far make up the majority of acres really suck, but guys know they have to grow them for rotation. No dought in my mind there is going to be a sleeper or 2 out there unfortunatly by the time we find out what that is the seeds will be in the ground. Grow what you have always grown!
