I noticed FNA has Clearout 41 priced at $7.25/L. The local dealers seem to have equivelant "M" brand at $10/L. $15 for the HC, some at a bit over $9. Putting your thoughts of FNA aside, is this a one shot deal or we going to be in for a general trend lower in chemical prices? Some of the other generic products could come down as well? Any thoughts?

Let's hope so on price. Generic glyfos @ Allan Johnston, Welwyn, Sk. $7.50/L, China origin, 360 active ingredient, 15% surfactant, limited supply, half payment down which goes into Escrow until product arrives April. Arranging for a common drop off in an area that can accommodate a truck load. Comes in 1000L shuttles and barrels, did not ask about barrel size, likely 125L as not interested in barrels. Ordered 4 shuttles. Happy with the price - heck no, as did Own Use Import on Clearout three years ago for $3.25/L. The stuff can be produced for water price.

as long as the chem co.s control the govt. and the PMRA there is no hope of access to generics.
the 3$ glyphosate using the OUI progam was a tempory victory for farmers.
the upriseing has been put down with the destruction of OUI.
the new program has been in effect a couple years and we can get nothing approved. its a joke
Too bad farmers couldn't write the laws for agriculture like the chem co.s do for their business

no i don't think that we would get back to 3$ glyphosate, maybe 5$ but just about every other chem thats off patent. like 70% of what we use. we are getting hosed.
first the grou is only for chems produced in north amercia.
we sell in a world market at world prices . why can't we pay world prices for chem.s
why is not cethodim approved under grou. sells for 40% less south of border. no approvel
China has 100s of chem plants that would gladly sell any off patent chem. even after paying their share of regestration costs, for 1/2 what we are paying now .
we farmers compete in the world market . why do chem co.s get supply management, closed borders
in effect patents that last forever.
