One local guy has 300ac canola in and then stopped for a few days. He always seeds canola very early a generally makes out with at least average to above average yeilds. Snow accross the northern grain belt and Alberta over the weekend. Seeding I think will be in full swing next week here - If it ever warms up. hopeing to start with peas monday the 4th, but soil temps are going to be cold!! We will need a rain shortly in our neck of the woods.

Got the peas in the ground and now kind of hesitating hoping for rain or even snow anything wet. We are dry. Ready to go with lentils but taking my time.

Some seeding started here in sw Sask. There is quite a bit of peas, canola and lentils in so far. It is amazing the technology there is now. I am seeding some maxim red lentils as I type this on my Blackberry and seeding with auto steer. It is very dry here and with only 6 inches of moisture in the durum stubble. Seeding some canary seed stubble now that has over twice as much moisture than the durum stubble.
