    Crop coming up finally.

Well the stuff seeded on May 2 is poking through the ground. Funny the wheat I am seeding now will be up in probably 3 days same time as my early seeded wheat. We hit the 86% mark. But had rain last night and still this morning. Most are done in our area except for a few bigger guys. The New super farm isn't done yet.

HRS seeded on the 12 is coming up. Everything was in limbo for two weeks. Everything is moving again, except airseeders, another inch of rain today.

Every one finsished seeding last week or before around here and now fingers are crossed that moisture comes Soom.

Some area had no snow all winter and not a 1/10 inch shower since April 1
Heard some cattlemen were buying some bales as no grass

Good thing we've never had enough frost to hurt the crop that up as there is not enough moisture to restart it

Most are done in the north west, moisture east of the Battlefords is good, south west, west and north west it is getting very dry. Early seeded crops are finally coming up here, the rest shortly. South west Unity/Macklin area seed is in dry dirt. Sawfly how are you makin out?
We finished yesterday, had to reseed one winter wheat feild - winter kill.

Barley seeded May 4th has rows visible. Wheat May 11th just under surface. The leaves are finally out in Rose Valley area, about 75 % seeded in wet conditions. No rain yesterday. T'storms forecast. Humboldt area getting dry, only 4/10" since snow melted.

Most of you are likely aware of the PFRA drought watch web site but for those that aren't, here is the link.

Early Lentils and Canola coming up Canola 1 - 2 leaf please no more cold nights!! :/ Ground finally warming up so later crop is germinating quickly.. So far very similar to last year temp wise, we just have more moisture in SE Sask than this time last year. We are probably lucky the temps have been a little cooler, the stuff we mudded in could have been like cement.

furrow finished yesterday luckely we got 2-3 tenths few days ago.
95% done here . it can start raining any time . if its gonna dry us out it would be nice if it did it before in crop spraying .
