    Australian Update

    Gday all
Seeding been done here for a few days now, with mine crop going in the ground with marginal moisture but germinating ok weve had nick of time small falls during seeding to wet things up.
The majority of SA and Vic crops have gone in on either damp or perfect conditions and timing.
WA the biggest producing state is late but have had rains last 10 to 12 days and crop will go in in fairly good conditions just 3 to 5 weeks later than usual.
When its all said and done i would rate aust conditions 7 out of 10.
Just im in a dry pocket this year id rate our ranch 4.5 out of 10

PS some of the areas that have missed out for last few years are having a great year thusfar

Mallee, What's the feeling there about an ABB possible buyout from our Viterra?

negative most polls show around 80% against
but growers are minority shareholders now and wont have enough clout to stop it.
i think there is for example a investment house in the usa that holds 9%

malleefarmer, just wondering how the temperatures have been down under? would you say they've been close to normal(say 20yr avg. or longer) or warmer than normal or cooler than normal??

Is there any concern for planting winter crops 3-5 weeks later than normal there in WA?
Also are there any deals on fertilizer down under mate?

some cocern in WA but another good weather system moving across wa as we speak and meant to deliver very good rain across rest of cropping area in SA and Vic
Fert prices $850 dap and map on farm at the minute and reasonably steady.

A question for you guys how much do you pay for UAN
