Your canola field sounds like a sister to mine. I am going to spray centurion for now (why doesn't frost affect things we want it to?), hope it comes along and spray liberty later if crop comes better. No crop in July, call crop ins. and get ready for WW.
For our area, reseeding usually is disappointing.
1 difference is that we still have good subsoil moisture.

we don,t have 1 plant that looks as good as the producer.
took a 25 mile drive yesterday, and you can tell the canola feilds , because you can not see any green peroid.

With things bad all over this year, will half a canola crop maybe give the same return as a "normal" crop on a "normal" year?

Headed to the lake late last night and yes you can tell the canola fields there the ones with nothing growing. Hell even flax fields look good. Last night you could see leaf burn on Barley, Oats, and on HRS funny will probably make the plant stool out. The cover of western producer makes me sick, hell if I had one plant per meter that looked like that I would be happy. Most neighbors would be happy also. Also why did Sask Ag an foods spring report this week not go into any detail about the drought in West or Frost all over. F#%# cant we get real reports out of that department. Terry K is gone i thought things would change. Well (yes i am Saying this) Bruce Burnett actually made sense with his observations 20% cut in yields with normal conditions from now on. If it stays dry in west and rain in Manitoba add another 20%.

How about the picture on the second page where you can see rows of canola and he's sitting and looking at where a couple of plants might be injured.

I've never been able to see rows yet and it was seeded on May 9.
