hey haven't checked emails lately busy finishing seeding. This spring started so promising with lots of moisture in East. But last weekends Friday to Tuesday rain period brought 1/2 inch rain. West Sask not so lucky. Were still hanging in with lots of subsoil moisture but July we usually turn extremely hot (OK not Australia hot but Sask hot). June is western Canada's wet month. Now the severe frosts have not made much for headlines but Canola is damaged worse I have ever seen on our farm. Crop is trying to recover but we will be two weeks late. Frost then is a threat in fall. Reseeding never works due to our short window of growing a crop.
