Puma and Axial mess me up the most, even with full gear. I also wear rubber boots when mixing that never go in the cab. If you're a smoker I would switch that out for chewin tabaco for spray season too, way less hand to mouth activity. When I use to custom spray I also found that sitting in a sprayer for 18 hrs a day led to dehydration resulting in shakes and increased fatigue. Having a couple of bottles of Gatorade/day seemed to do the trick.

I think I'm way behind the times. I don't even wear rubber gloves, just use my work gloves.
I never thought herbicides were all that bad???
When we spray insecticides, we have one guy on the ground in full suit, and gloves mask the whole spiel, I don't even open the sprayer door just stay in don't want the smell in cab.
But herbicides I've never been to concerned about. Will agree some days Wife makes me undress on the portch cause I stink so bad.
Maybe time to start taking more precautionary measures after reading this.
P.S. Grains are screwed short term.

Actually them gloves they used to give you in not sure think it was fusion, usually had to take them off to do any fine work and still have a closet full of them. Go to Princess Auto and get them vinal ones with powder inside(Power Fist Brand). So nice to put on and off and at 100 in a box they are so cheap and you can work with the finest of parts, toss them when going back into the cab.
Snappy how long does it take to fill your sprayer?

The slow up part of filling any sprayer could easily be your water pump on rate. Depending on the number of jugs to triple rinse, (and I hate jugs and wished the chemical companies did as well), we can be in and out in seven minutes. We're slowing the water pump down to idle speed to accommodate the jugs. It could be quicker if the jug rinses were completed into a pail after the sprayer left, and dumped on the next rotation, but we have lots of bodies to help. One guy in a chemical suit in Snappy's situation with insecticide would likely do that to save operator cab time wait. Yes -no? Hopperbin asks a good question, what time and system have you set up to load your sprayer? Anyone else care to explain their system?

Just gotten rid of the filter I mounted after the Chem handler 2. Wow did that make a difference now that handler sucks like it is supposed to and can also pump faster now. Hoping the filters on the sprayer are all I need, so far so good.
I do everything, haul water, fill and spray all myself, need to call mom occasionally to pick me up if I move to a remote location or to spot a vehicle. The Vinyl seemed to be working, they are not melting or anything and my hands smell lovely, but I do toss them constantly, never reuse them. Will look for nitrile next time. Thanks.
