    Frosty Day in July

Frost on the shaded roof tops at Kenosee this
    morning.

Weatherbug at Precision... 2 miles south of Carlyle
reports a low of plus 1C.

Sky Ag thermometer at Carlyle airport read a low of
    minus 1C.

White frost on Brown's house 2 miles north of
    Carlyle at 6 AM.

You gotta love this global warming ..... Bill

Bill if you had frost there today then if I'm not mistaken this is the 12th month in a row for frost somewhere in the growing areas of Western Canada. We had frost in August last year on our wheat here.

Alberta is 3 weeks behind in many areas.

          Off todays DTN Midsession report:

"The declines in canola were limited in part by concerns
over the cool temperatures across much of western Canada
          during the weekend.
There were reports of frost late last week in a number of
canola growing regions in Alberta and with readings again
dropping to near the freezing level during the weekend, there
were ideas that fields in low lying areas may have suffered
          some additional damage, brokers said.
"If we're almost getting frost in the middle of July, how
will we get through August?" a broker asked noting that "we'll
need to be frost free well into September to get this crop in
          decent shape."

David Phillips, from Environment Canada stated today on CJME 980, that if July were to end today (July 13), this July would be the Coldest July recorded in Saskatchewan since official records have been kept, something like 128 years! Not a good combination to have, with crops that are 2-3 weeks behind.

So... is this goofy weather to be blamed on Global Warming? The seasons seem to be off at least a month. Still no sun spots I'd guess or excessive CO2 any where in Canada. 12C today for a high with that wicked NW wind, doubt a low of 5 or 6C.
