Your suggestion of a cam monitor was something we were thinking of installing after seeing one in action on an access point to a gravel pit. Same fellow had one on a narrow walk in gate (deer head height)through which they would pass. He had quite the collection of matched sheds, a spectacular set of 5 points, and he had the 6 point on camera this spring. Within 24 hours of posting my sign I had a call from a town fellow wanting to know if he could could get some rocks. I doubt if I'd have had the call otherwise, and I'd lay a wager my sign will be run over, or taken within a fortnight.

I had a person cutting firewood on my property the other day. This act is an example of a lack of respect for other people's property. I am very reasonable with those who ask first but not with those who couldn't be bothered.I try an explain I don't walk onto town lots and take things that don't belong to me so I should be offered the same respect. There are to many in town who feel that is their given right to use your property. They neede to be educated.

Thank you Craig. Hopper almost had me convinced I was unreasonable. Couldn't agree with you more on your post. We likely supply 25% of the firewood for the town's fireplaces, and the old wooden granaries for wood storage for the families that ask to cut deadfall on our property. They each have their own bin, and we ask nothing in return except a call and where do you plan to cut. I've never caught your kind of wood cutter, but I have lost Colorado spruce trees in shelter belts to the X-mas adventurers, and maple trees to the fire enthusiasts. I don't know which side of ballistic I would come down on if I had. For Burbert's interest, we have one quarter section with over $2,000,000.00 of taxable municipal assessment on it. Don't know how that compares to his expensive Alberta property versus my cheap Saskabush territory.

Wow!!!! checker, unless this quarter is a gravel pit or a diamond mine, I'd appeal, that taxie assessment in a millisecond. If'n yous lose, then build a wall around the prop and git guards to patrol this valuable Saskabush property, cause the developers are gonna get you sooner er later. Tresspassers beware, walking on valuabull property like that will get ya prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, or sued fer sure...

Carry an axe in your honda, rhino, atv, whatever.

When you find someone chopping down trees, or taking windows, etc, take a whack out of their car door with the axe and tell them you needed it for the sculpture you're designing.

              They won't come back.

Mr. Burbert, and how was your day? I still don't know if your Alberta property is expensive, or as cheap as you describe my own in Sask. Either way I don't believe it should be used as a public smorgasbord, or a place to toss public leftovers. Incidentally, that figure was just surface assessment. Add another $1,000,000.00 for pipeline assessment. Our objective is to have it covered with infrastructure tiers, underground, surface, and air, and not trash. Do you have plans for a Zeppelin factory because you certainly can generate enough Alberta hot air to partially meet my third requirement? (lol) And, I never said I was responsible for paying any of the taxes, except the agricultural portion.
