    cash advance-Canola Growers

what's with the Canola Growers cash advance
program?, I phone yesterday and they said they would
soon start on the part 2 payment.
Is the purpose of the advance to help pay for inputs or
just something they do to provide employment for
themselves. Maybe everyone else has received the part
    2?

I gave up on the Canola grower advances. I couldn't get any help
from local elevators. Both said The hassle wasn't worth there time.
Was told to use their on line file, but Firefox would not verify
I had a secure connection. Tried to phone able some of the question,
      but just got on hold.
Would how many other that have used the canola advance have given
up on the group. At least I got my withhold back two months after
I paid off the 08 advance.

when you goof up. I corrected some of my
        typing then posted wrong copy.

          I haven't farmed for years

Then they will pay attention to you

I still hate the pricks from when they lost that laptop and never offered.an appology.

Same BS here. Everything in good standing. Applied for 2nd part end of May after seeding report was in Crop insurance. They keep telling to phone back in a few days. I told them I applied for a Spring advance, not a Xmas advance. Seems since they moved to Winnipeg, all they care is about prolonging the deal to keep there jobs. Time to write a few letters to a few ministers etc. and see what happens.

same here, part 2 in last week of may, still waiting! They did say it was very close to being finished but was not allowed to give any kind of time line. My interest free period is only going to last a few weeks! What a crock!

With all the eligible "bona fide" farmers applying, and accepted for advances, there's quite a chunk of change involved.

Now, if i could just divert that wad of cash into say, a gambling account for six months instead of paying farmers, I could visit some fancy casinos.

Wait, uh, I've never bought a lottery ticket in my life. And only gambled one dollar once and never went back.

But the idea is interesting, right?

That's what happened to one municipality I know about.

                Yup. Pars

maybe that's how Mr. Ritz thinks this should work apply for the fall advance and recieve the money in time for next seeding. apply for spring advance to pay next fall bills, nah couldn't be that goofy! Well MAYBE!
There is absolutely no difference in terms of agriculture as to who the government of the day is. We simply cannot get anyone in there who has enough common sense, or power, or ability to persuade their own government members that changes like the ones needed here with the cash advance to happen. Mr. Ritz are you in charge of the cash advance program or not, is the money coming out of the pockets of the canola grower staff, because it sure as hell sounds like it when you phone them??????
