I am not sure but I think a barrel of 110 liters is probably the smallest quantity. give them a call, they sell thousands of liters into our area and very reputable.

Dalek, I still have a tote of that Clearout stuff from three years back. I believe if I poured it straight on my tomatoes, the plants would thrive. I totally believe you.

Was quoted Factor for $6.25 equivalent liter a few weeks ago. That was down almost $2 in one price drop. Glyphosate is heading back down in a big way.

Glyphos going the same way as fert - just hold off for now, what is the reason to buy now rather then three weeks from now?

Interesting how FNA, Skinners, and Rayglen all have the same price for the same product. I believe orders need to be placed now or you won't get the product so chances of prices falling further is not likely. Most dealers I talked are not even giving prices. Just waiting.

I talked to COOP dealer today and he says fertilizer is up, about $410 for 46-0-0. They won't be able to get any till September?

OK i like using the Clear out 41 it always works excellent. Been using it since it came to Canada. Still use some Monsanto to make them happy. We have always I repeat always since 1994 desiccate in fall at 5 gallon an acre and 140 liters per full quarter. Their is no willows or slough grass or thistles etc. Spray trees with boom up willows especially their dead the next spring. Why irrigate the fields 5 gallons works. Even the frost years it works. Now desiccating every year for years means fields are clean so about 10 years now we have used the 140 liter per quarter vs 160 liters. Hey anytime a product goes down in price is a good thing. When they gouge like last year thats BS.

Some simple facts: a 540 g/L glyphosate like Weathermax is about 68% in its salt form; in order to perform equal to a fully loaded 360 g/L glyphosate it would need 22.5% surfactant inorder to have 15% left at 360 g/L. This means it is more then 90% solid; it would be incredibly thick and would not pour. Hence they sacrifice surfactant in order to sell grams of glyphosate; results works the same at full strength but worse at 360 gram equivelent. Something the big boys forgot to mention. FNA seeks to max profits hence membership plus product price just under retail rates. This year there is true competitors hence FNA cannot ride up just under the market rate. These true competitors are bringing down the rate; fna's owner is just losing money in a related company they buy through. Hope these facts help someone in some way.

Watch foxtail barley and CLearout, it does not work very well. i have had a couple cases where it appeared to not touch it at all. Certain fields I do not use it on becuase i believe the surfactant is just not up to par. Other then that I use whatever is cheapest and use more active. Forget the surfactant wars.
