There could be frost in the forecast by August 20.

The Canadian Wheat Board’s director of weather and market analysis agrees a northerly air flow expected to spread over the eastern Prairies could cool temperatures in Saskatchewan and Manitoba next week. But Bruce Burnett said it’s too early to know whether temperatures will fall below freezing. Mitigating factors such as cloudy conditions could protect immature crops from damage.
