    Weather watchers eyeing cold front

    There could be frost in the forecast by August 20.

    Some U.S. meteorologists are saying the risk of an early frost on the Prairies could come to pass as early as next week, according to the Reuters news service.

    The Canadian Wheat Board’s director of weather and market analysis agrees a northerly air flow expected to spread over the eastern Prairies could cool temperatures in Saskatchewan and Manitoba next week. But Bruce Burnett said it’s too early to know whether temperatures will fall below freezing. Mitigating factors such as cloudy conditions could protect immature crops from damage.

    Prairie crops are up to two weeks behind in their development due to a late, cool spring

    Drews report out this morning is it could be minor event but spotty frost. Lets hope their all wrong and its none.
