Laird Lentils are pretty green in assiniboia and probaly will not stain at this point. Will cause some harvest issues likely. Reds of course are more ripe but should not affect quality, but will be problematic for harvest.

You are talking lentils or rice? It can't be good for lentils to have that much rain - its gotta put them down.

Its starting to look like the harvest from hell.

Middle of august and I haven't combined a pea.

dave441 - that is a huge understatement- 'will cause some harvest issues likely" - by the time its dry enough to combine they will all be shelled out.

What I am saying is that they are green enough that will not cause splitty product. I agree it will cause some problems, but we have seen late matureing lentils get rain and if they are green enough (and they are in Assiniboia) they will make it thru on a quality basis. Seeds have not started to mature.

It would be interesting to see when shipping is supposed to start on all the presold product. Could be very interesting. in 1994, we saw 52.5 cent Canary Seed. Is this an Act of God?
