Australia - Grains Research Development Corporation and Plant Breeding

malleefarmer - Won't interupt the Viterra/ABB discussion but interested in your thoughts on the GRDC.

Also interested in how cereal plant breeding from the R&D to commercialization is carried out in Australia. Some are using Australia as a model for things that could be done in Canada.

We just pay a levy on every tonne of grain we sell to grdc and private plant breeders
Most people dont mind the system

      Thanks malleefarmer.

Put the links in because this is a model being proposed for Canada (at least in some circles). Lots of changes will have to occur (including legislative) before Canada (or perhaps western Canada) can move down this road.
