    How low can it go???

The price of glyphosate continues to drop with clearout 41 now at 4.35/litre for the last month. From my understanding producers are tripping over themselves at this level to buy for next year. What I dont understand is with the strong CDN dollar could we not see even further drops?? Perhaps down to 3.75-4.00?? According to local dealer there are currently over 20 new applications to produce and sell glyphosate in Canada (good news for us). Also I see pricing as low as $8.00/gallon in the US, what exactly does that translate into CDN dollars/litre assuming 360g product?? When I do the math on it, it seems really really cheap, which leads me to think we are still be screwed here.

I bought Clearout from the US for USD $3.00/litre with a 90 cent dollar, for a final cost of $3.30/L but had to pick it up in the US. Your price is CDN $2.30/l. Wow, too bad Clearout was not still available in US.

I did not know clearout was not available any longer. Is there or would there be any other labels we could bring back across the border? At that price Im thinking it would be worth the trip.

Clearout was the one registered under OUI, but was dominated by FNA to the point where the manufacter would not sell it in the USA, only sold to FNA for resale at higher markup in Canada. The new products under GROU are higher end products and can be brought across, but I think the are pretty expensive and may not be worth it. They are Touchdown IQ and Round Up Weather Max. DO you have a US pricing on those products??

I guess FNA can charge just enough to make it look that the Canadian dealers are screwing them. Then again, are they putting any money back into the communities like Canadian dealers are? I know they are hiring local people, building and maintaining infrastructure, paying taxes etc? Theres more to the price of the product than just the product. In Canada we have to piss around with all the French and Metric labeling, and registration so I guess if you are selling out of a closet, you don't have the overhead do you?

I am very P O d about FNA with their attitudes charge what they can. then put the price down after others drop. They should be setting the standard with our membership money not charging the shit out of us. Soon their membership will mean crap.

As I have posted before, the membership is irrelevant, they charge what the market will bear. I do not have a problem with that, it is the pretend notion that they are charging cost to grower becuase he paid a membership fee. That is not the case so why buy a membership. They lost their trail somewhere along the way. Actually, they fell of the trail at least 3 years ago.

"What the market will bear", a lie about a shortage or some ingredient Monsatan screwed generic manufacturers over last year just because farm gate prices were a record. They got their piece of your pie! This year we are swimming in glyphosate? Ya all bullship. No corporation is your friend, remember that buying or selling.

Same applies to the fert industry, all b/s from the get go!!! It all had to do with the price of grains/oilseeds and how much they could puck the farmers for. The whole industry were pigs at a trough and some farmers who listned to the b/s shortage stories were the first thrown in. fert is .32/lb compared to .90/lb last year at this time and some of you are giddy about saving a buck on glyphos? Yes that is good, but do not forget how much we were worked on fert - by far the biggest scam in ag history. No different than the innocent that lost fortunes in bay street scams over the last year, IMO!!!
