    Which web browser does everyone use and why? I've only ever used internet explorer just because that is what is on my computer. Are any of the others better? What are the pros and cons?

    Well I use Avant (free) which is based on the IE structure and also IE8.

    Avant has some nice features but probably IE8 is more secure.

    The recently patched Firefox is fine also.

    I don't care much for Chrome although it is quite fast but is pretty "plain Jane".

    You will get a plethora of opinions when it comes to browsers.

    If you have automatic updates from Microsoft or regular updates best at least every Tuesday, (not automatic), you should have no problem with IE8.
