I am looking for a new accounting software and my accountant recommended MYOB. Does anyone have any experience with it? I have been using TCB, but Y2K is creating some problems.

I've used and taught both MYOB and QuickBooks. Both do a good job of inventory, flexibility with chart of accounts and ease of entry reversel. However, MYOB, in my opinion falls short in report generation. I have heard of producers switching for this reason.

I am a Settler dealer and consultant. I have spent many years teaching and working with producers in the farm management area. I was a reluctant Settler conversion.
However, they really have made, and continue to make, changes to their software that comes both from accounting and producer input. They are the Canadian leader in Agricultural software development. They have a full spectrum of accounting (GOLD, Lite, Farm Office Accounting) and field management (Field-Master) software, with prices ranging from $49.00 to $595.00. And you can grow into their software as your knowledge increases; start with the basics and move forward. In the past months they have expanded their toll-free support lines to make expert help a call away at times that are convenient to you the producer.
Before chosing non-agricultural software for your farm business check out what they have to offer. All their products have a risk-free 30 day return policy. You probably can find a dealer in your area. If not contact me and I will try to help you assess your needs.
