What does everyone think about pushing canola rotations?

With the canola prices, are you going to push more canola acres and stray from rotations? How bad can the downside be...heavy disease losses?

50 50 OK for Hybrids and rotating varieties. Actually have a nieghbour that planted 3 years in a row and the 3rd year one was best crop, of course others were more flooded. My Cargill varieties were looking diseased last years and I am at 40 percent canola acreage normally. This year 5440 was much better.

Well hate to admit it but where we farm
lots of 3 out of 4 years canola crop
rotations. (not me) I know of a few fields
that have never had any crop other than
canola for years ( at least 10) and you
know what those fields produce just as
good as any other fields in the area.
When I think how much more money he has
made over the years well it pisses me off.

2 years in 4 or 5 with one cereal/corn/bean in between. Canola, Soy and wheat dominate my rotation. Corn is 5% with a acres of barley and oats.
